What's been up in my life lately.....

Wow it's been way too long since I've posted!!! Like almost a month!!!! This is so pathetic! But really....my New Years Resolution is to post at least once a week, more if I have time. Well...here is why I haven't been posting lately:

1. Finals....which I didn't do so hot on! But i studied like CRAZY and I did my best, so thats all that counts...right?

2. School in general....just tests, and projects, and homework etc.

3. Christmas presents...i still haven't even gotten all my gifts for people ahh... :/

4. The anticipation of Christmas...seriously I am way too excited!

5. The anticipation of going to Tennessee and being with all my cousins!!! :)

6. That my debit card arrived today! :)

7. Babysitting every weekend, well most anyways.

8. Shopping (not for myself...well not all the time :)

9. Family time

10. Playing the piano...I've been really enjoying it lately!

11. Reading (by the way does anyone have a good series they want to tell me about? (I'm taking a 24 hour trip in a couple days and have nothing to read...I'm desperate!!!)

12. Cleaning my room (it's a full time job)

13. Going to the movies

14. Family in town

15. Putting up decorations

Well.......that's about all I can think of right now. But, really, I am serious about a good series, or just book in general to read!!!!

Thanksgiving :)

Okay...I can't believe this!!! It has been 2 and 1/2 weeks since I have posted last!!!! I think I am losing my mind because I thought I posted a couple days ago! Maybe it was a dream? That happens to me a lot! Well...Thanksgiving was amazing! I had so much fun! My cousins and aunt and uncles and grandparents came to our house, oh and the Pachecos. We had a blast! We played football for about 4 hours, no joke, and I am paying the price today. I am SO sore from being tackled! Then yesterday was Black Friday. Which is always fun! Well to me anyways. I made some....interesting purchases. It seems so great at the time, then you look back on what you spent your money on and...uhh yeah. Well me and my cousin spent about $20 on lunch....hehe first mistake. The people there make it sound like you are getting such a good deal. Then we got the bill...so....anyways...I got a good start on my Christmas shopping. Let's just say I went in there with $85, and came out with a quarter. :) And I only bought gifts for like 3 people. Second mistake. Wow I need to work on my budgeting. If anyone needs a babysitter, or help with anything I'm your girl!!! Today I am doing more shopping. Wish me luck on some ACTUAL good deals. Maybe I will have a dollar left this time. :)

Another week???

Hmmm....it seems like time flew by this week and I didn't get a chance to make any posts. Has anyone realized whenever I post it is on a Sunday? Probably because that's the only day I actually have some spare time. This week was pretty uneventful, except for I went over to my dad's on Tuesday, and on Saturday we went to Dallin's baptism and brunch! It was so fun and I really can't believe Dallin is already 8!!! He is such an awesome kid and I am so proud of him! :)

I am anxiously waiting to get a camera for Christmas. Then I can actually upload pictures to my blog, so it's not so boring! I'm sorry to those of you that read my blog and are probably SUPER bored partly because I'm not much of an exciting writer, and secondly because there are no pictures! Well all of this will change, when we get a decent camera and I make my New Years Reolution to write on my blog a couple times a week at least!

Sorry for the short post...I just thought it was time for me to give a little update.

It's been a week!

Wow....it's been a week since my last post. I think I'm being lazy. My goal was to post at LEAST a couple times a week, because I know how boring it is to read people's blogs that haven't been updated for months and months. Well, here's my post. Here was how my week went:

Monday-Thursday:
Went to school, did homework, read, found out I got on Principal's List! Yes!!!!! :) Went to gymnastics, was super sore, etc.

On Friday (Halloween) I went to Mkaul's house for a party. We went trick or treating, and stayed up till 5 a.m with 7 girls playing random games that we made up and dancing. It was a lot of fun! I was a hippie, Mkaul was a goth Cinderella, Sam was a cute witch, Raquel was a person that broke out of jail, Alyssa was...umm well im not really sure but it was cute :), and Ashley was Minnie Mouse. We had a blast! Thanks for all the fun girls!

On Saturday we hung out and had a yummy breakfast of pancakes (thanks Tamsen) and then my mom picked me up and we had to take my brothers to get their hair cut. (The funniest thing happened there! We saw Jake talking to the guy cutting his hair, and the guy was talking back to him while Jake nodded. Me and my mom were confused, thinking "what are they talking about?" When he was all done and we walked out we asked him what he was saying and Jake said..."Oh I just asked him when he got interested in cutting hair. And he told me, when he was 20 and told me all about college." My mom and I were cracking up. He is so mature!) Then we dropped Jake and Carter off at Dallin and Dean's for Dallin's 8th birthday party. (I can't believe he is already 8!) We then went shopping for something to wear for family pictures on Monday. Yeah, a little last minute, I know! My mom was lucky, she found something to wear, but I wasn't as fortunate. It's ok though, because when we got home we found something cute in my closet for me to wear :) We went to Paradise Bakery and had lunch, and I saw my old dance teacher. Then we picked the boys up, and went to Jeff and Rachelle's where I got my eyebrows waxed and my hair cut. (Thanks Rachelle, I needed that!!!) From there, we went home, chilled out and went to bed.

Sunday (today): Today was Stake Conference, and it wasn't till 10 am (yay!) I am used to 8 am church. I could be a morning person if I wanted to, but I just go to bed so late, because I'm always up doing things. It was great, then we went home had lunch and I took a nap. Now we are dog-sitting the Wilson's 2 adorable dogs, Sophie and Trigger while they are in Utah. They are so cute! Make me miss Simon!

By the way.....One of Santa's helpers informed me that we will just be getting a family camera for Christmas, but that I will still be able to use it, and take Bruce's class. That's fine with me as long as I can experiment with it and take pictures! So it will be okay, now the only problem is: what do I want for Christmas? I have NO clue! I usually just like to get one nice thing that I will use. Maybe I will just ask for them to pay for me to go to dance :)

Well that's about it for now! I will be trying to post more often!

Info-mercial Humor

Well I think I heard just about the funniest conversation go down today between Jake and Dad. It went a little like this:

Jake- Dad can we get the Iron Gym???? *p.s its this exercise equipment (seen on an info-mercial)

Dad- Why would we get that?

Jake- Because you can get in serious shape!

Dad- *laughs* We aren't getting the Iron Gym Jake.

Jake- Dad you see real results in 30 days!

Dad- *laughs even harder*

Jake- Dad do you want abs of steel and a toned chest?

Dad- We aren't getting it, it's expensive isn't it?

Jake- Well, if we order now we will only have to make one payment! And we can send it back for a full refund!


*Hahaha, okay so we just have the basic 12 channels for t.v, and the only cartoon channel that the boys love to watch has tons of info-mercials instead of regular commercials so they have them all pretty much memorized! We seriously think Jake has a career!!!!

R.I.P. SIMON :(

Today Simon passed away. :( Our whole family was so sad!!!! He was a good dog, and I know he is in a better place now.

Home Sweet Home!

I have been in Rocky Point Mexico with my mom, brothers, Erica, Bailey, Lettie, Lisa and her kids this weekend! We left on Thursday and got back today! We had a BLAST there, and good news: I didn't get sunburned! (For those of you who know of my past experience in Mexico) It breaks my heart to see all the people there that don't have anything. I have gone to Mexico every year for the past 3 years, and every time I go it's such a learning experience for me. I realize how many things in my life I take for granted. My house. My food. My family. And then there's all the little details in life that you don't realize are so important until you lose them. I can't imagine living like some of those people do, and I know I am so very lucky to have all the things I do. After reading Lisa's blog, it inspired me to write about the things I am grateful for, every so often. Well, I am grateful for friends and family. For supporting me in the things I do, and for making my life so much fun! They bring me such happiness. I am thankful for emotions. How you have the power to feel the way you want to, whenever you want to. I am thankful for cameras/pictures. They capture so many moments! I can't imagine this trip without our personal photographer Lisa :)
